Ilya is an excellent and very dedicated TA. If only every member of the faculty would have this degree of dedication!

Very helpful classes.

Ilya is the first TA, who took his task seriously. Unlike all other TA's we had, he seems to enjoy teaching, he is always well prepared for class and responds to questions arising outside of class very fast. His slides are very useful for preparations (even if sometimes the wordings of the questions might not be completely clear).

TA was impressive in every aspect. Specially, I could not help but be surprised by the fact that he memorized all the names of classmated even before the first class.

Bit arrogant but tries hard.

Ilya's class notes were infinitely more helpful than his classes or his teaching. There are more effective teaching methods than the inefficient and less than helpful method of soliciting answers for students during the class.

Too many problems of communication between Ilya and students. Ilya is too arrogant for his own good - he should remove the barriers between him and the students.

Very good overall, but pace of class was sometimes a bit slow due to the large number of students present. Excellent understanding of the subject together with an ability to explain difficult concepts clearly.

I thought Ilya's format was good. Different to other tutorials. However, sometimes we used to get stuck on a problem. Need to move on and tackle questions outside class.

He was helpful in the sense that he provided us with helpful class ,aterial and made genuine effort to teach.

He is effortfull, but sometimes he is too worried about giving the right grades (because of smoothing distribution).

Perhaps someimtes Ilya should get to the right answer a little quicker. Some diminishing returns to getting us work it out. Excellent - easily the best TA we gave had. Classes were often as valuable as leftures. He works very hard at teaching.

The classes were very helpful to give a better understanding of the matrial covered in lectures. Ilya made a very concerted effort to learn about the demands of the class and after this in the tutorials. He was always showing to do as god a job as possible. He was very helpful.

Dedicated to students.

Very good classes. Really helped apply the esoteric theory of the lectures! Very good at commanding the class. Encouraged us to develop the answers ourselves instead of just telling us the solutions. [Words unclear] control class for knowing our names.

The pronlem is that doing the problems in class took too long. Don't wait for everyone to get around before going over answer.

Lectures did not help you understand. Those who knew the stuff answered the questions and if you did not know it before the class you would not know it after. Thus low attendance. Worked and tried very hard but missed most lectures.

Ilya tried hard but sometimes went too quickly.

Ilya is excellent. I wouldn't have understood the material from his lectures, should he not have prepared all these classes. Top: stupid he is a PhD thought of him more likea professor - best TA in LBS.

Very useful but did not leave answers overheads up for long enough. Missed two classes because of "Friday morning" factor.

The oreview slides and then Q+A slides were extremely helpful. His commitment to, and efforts for, the class was greatly appreciated.

It would be very helpful to get examples of othr exams (e.g. from previous years). Not many students felt comfortable being addressed directly in class.

Of all the TAs (in various subjects that I had taken in this term), Ilya was the most effective and also seemed to be most knowldegeable about the subject he handled. Very good potential to be a future professor!
