Questions: |
-
From a content
provider's perspective, what are the key differences
between the wireline and wireless Internet?
-
With your study group,
design a wireless Internet and GPS-based location
service that will allow the managers of vehicle fleets
to monitor and manage their fleets remotely over the
Internet. Fleet managers will log on to a Website, track
the movement of vehicles in their fleets and communicate
with the drivers via two-way messaging. The service will
use a hardware device that will be installed in each
vehicle, and it will receive signals transmitted from
GPS satellites to determine the vehicle's location.
-
From a fleet manager's
perspective, what are some applications of the
technology?
-
How will the service work? Think about
how the different types of data will flow in the system.
Summarize your thinking using a diagram.
-
How will
the system support the applications you want to provide
to fleet managers?
